March 7, 2016, Ottawa: The Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator’s Award Jury of the Canadian Library Association/Association canadienne des bibliotheques, is pleased to announce the shortlist for the 2015 Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator’s Award. This award is generously supported by Library Services Centre.

This award recognizes an illustrator of a noteworthy Canadian book, published in 2015, that appeals to children up to the age of 12 years.

The finalists for the 2015 Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator’s Award in alphabetical order by title are:

The Princess and the Pony illustrated by Kate Beaton (Arthur A. Levine Books/Scholastic)
Sidewalk Flowers illustrated by Sydney Smith (Groundwood Books)
Some Things I’ve Lost illustrated by Cybèle Young (Groundwood Books)
This Is Sadie illustrated by Julie Morstad (Tundra Books)
Way Back Then illustrated by Germaine Arnaktauyok (Inhabit Media)
Wild Ideas illustrated by Soyeon Kim (Owlkids Books)
