The publishing house itself points to the book: “With this masterful adaptation of Mary Shelley’s work, David Sala does not limit himself to offering a sublime graphical interpretation. If he has chosen this novel among all the masterpieces of literature, it is because he finds in it a special connection with themes that are dear to him: the acceptance of difference, the fear of the unknown, violence against minorities, the people’s vengeance… Themes already explored in his previous albums and which here he emphasizes to make this Frankenstein unquestionably his most personal work. And Frankenstein is an incredibly modern work that reminds us of the major challenges facing our society.”
