The vision is that of summers which do not lose their own inertia; from memory, tiny ruptures dodge the outcome or ignore it. No other concluded, spoken line is as tranquil, or as untamable as salt.

Measuring the unit of discovery in newtons.
Gather with the water’s hands those syntheses filled with baptism that detach from the universe before being devoured by the drainage systems. Plant them so that islands sprout and are collected like fruit, and in their pulp, all that comes from very far: the herepresent, an artificial fullness.
Measure in rubendaríos.
Humanize with the rhetoric of unbreakable pronouns, although no longer bearing the necessary rush of youth; thus believing to retain great passions one last time. Isthmuses of liquid welding between the knowledge of then and today, irretrievable with the status of a world map that quietly sustains the learner.

David Delfín (Málaga, 1968). A finalist for the Adonais Prize in 1999 with Triduo; his work has been gathered in numerous anthologies since 1998, among which stand out Poesía andaluza en libertad: Una aproximación antológica a los poetas andaluces del último cuarto de siglo (2001), Del paraíso a la palabra: Poetas malagueños del último medio siglo (1952–2002) (2003), and Campo abierto: Antología del poema en prosa en España (1990-2005) (DVD Poesía, 2006).
