Ingrid Parent: Deserving Recipient of IFLA Honorary Fellow Award
(Ottawa, August 20, 2015) – The Canadian Library Association and ASTED congratulate Ms. Ingrid Parent, University Librarian from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in Vancouver, British Columbia, on being awarded the prestigious IFLA Honorary Fellow Award for 2015. Honorary Fellow is IFLA’s highest award and is awarded on the basis of merit for long and distinguished service to IFLA.
“I am honored to receive this award from IFLA, an association that I have been actively involved with over the last twenty years,” said Parent, upon receiving confirmation of the award. “It has been a privilege to serve IFLA and to bring this level of international engagement in our profession to UBC and Canada.”
Ingrid Parent: Récipiendaire émérite de l’IFLA Honorary Fellow Award
(Ottawa, 20 août 2015) – L’Association canadienne des bibliothèques et l’ASTED félicitent madame Ingrid Parent, bibliothécaire de l’Université de la Colombie-Britannique (UBC) à Vancouver, d’avoir reçu le prestigieux prix 2015 de l’IFLA Honorary Fellow Award. Le prix Honorary Fellow, la plus haute distinction de l’IFLA, est décerné sur la base de bons et loyaux services rendus à l’IFLA.
« Je suis honorée de recevoir ce prix de l’IFLA, une association dans laquelle je me suis activement impliquée au cours des vingt dernières années », a déclaré Parent, lorsqu’elle a appris qu’elle recevrait cette récompense. « Cela a été un privilège de servir l’IFLA et d’apporter ce degré d’engagement international dans notre profession à l’UBC et au Canada ».
