The Robert H. Blackburn Distinguished Paper Award is named after Dr. R. H. Blackburn the first President of CACUL, the former Canadian Association of College & University Libraries, (1963-64), this award acknowledges notable research published by CLA members.
Guidelines:
- the award is open to all CLA members;
- submissions may be made by any member of CLA, including the author;
- articles are to have been published during the previous calendar year in a peer-reviewed journal;
- articles by joint investigators are eligible;
- articles resulting from funded research are eligible.
Content:
- articles should address a topic directly related to library studies or librarianship in a university or college environment;
- the committee will take the following under consideration:
- clarity in definition of research problem and methods;
- significance of the conclusions drawn from the research
Please submit the following:
- Name and Institution or Affiliation
- CLA membership number
- Full bibliographic information for the published article
- Copy of published article (preferably electronic)
- Comments (if desired)
Award / Presentation:
- A cash prize of $200 will be given to the winner,and acknowledged in the CLA’s magazine Feliciter
