The 64th Annual General Meeting of the Canadian Library Association/Association canadienne des bibliothèques took place June 1, 2009 in Montreal. Two resolutions were approved:

  1. a resolution that called upon the Executive Council to continue to lobby the federal government to ensure that CISTI is able to maintain a world class collection of scientific and technical information and an efficient and affordable document delivery system for Canadian libraries.
  2. a resolution urging the Librarian and Archivist of Canada to add professional librarians and archivists to the Management Board of the institution.
