The publishing house itself notes about the book: “Julio, a writer in crisis, is investigating an old incident in an Asturian town with the aim of writing an essay on how legends arise from unresolved real cases. While conducting interviews about a vampire legend, he encounters Encarna; beside her lies the body of a woman who has just died, and according to Encarna, she was being transformed into a vampire.
Julio decides to curb his urge to run; perhaps, thanks to this story, he will finally become a successful writer. But will Encarna be merely a disturbed old lady or is there really some truth in that community of elderly women who have moved into the town? All of them have reasons to be vampires, as they tell Julio in their interviews: after becoming widowed, they truly began to live, to do new things, to devote time to themselves and, aware of the little time they had left, they chose to embrace vampiric immortality… Julio and his partner, Rocío, will uncover the mystery surrounding this secluded town in an investigation that will change their lives forever”.
