Zenda Recommends: Moon of Premonition by Fidel Sendagorta

Thursday at Zenda. Poetry Thursdays. This Thursday, devoted to the latest poetry collection by Fidel Sendagorta, titled Luna presentida (Satori). The author delicately weaves a lullaby to serene love, the kind that dresses itself in the colors of autumn and feeds on shared silences. Sendagorta ventures into the haiku’s paths with Por remotas veredas, which marks his third poetry collection, after Décimas de Zamalek (Biblioteca Nueva, 2013) and Jardines del tiempo, (Cuadernos del Laberinto, 2021)

In the publisher’s own words: “The moon, witness and accomplice, illuminates verses where passion does not shout, but whispers among images of nocturnal landscapes, rain-damped candles and the foamy cadence of the waves. Each poem is a contained heartbeat, a flash of emotion condensed into five lines, a moment of encounter between mature love and the eternal nature.”

Sacred Mountain

visible or invisible,

always present.

Its silhouette and yours

drawn by the moon.
